Growth mindset means believing in one's ability to grow and develop. It is one of the greatest accelerators for learning. Learning and accomplishing challenging tasks requires effort and often also ability to overcome failures. Luckily growth mindset can be enforced.

  • When failing in a task, analyzing why the task failed and writing down a plan on how to avoid the same failure next time
  • Finding a story from one's own life on managing to learn something that first seemed impossible
  • When overwhelmed by the challenges ahead, dividing them into smaller, manageable goals and writing them down
  • Reading the biographies of successful people to learn how success is developed by practice

Nurturing the growth mindset in your own thinking and team culture is probably one of the most powerful things to enhance learning.
